Who We Are

Born in Lagos.
Inspired by Africa.

VerdeLux Studio was founded in 2014 by Chioma Adeyemi and Emeka Nwachukwu — two architects who shared a single conviction: that premium design should be accessible to Nigeria's discerning class, and that African spaces deserve global-level craft.

Starting with a small studio in Ikoyi, the practice grew steadily through word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied clients. Today, VerdeLux employs 28 full-time designers, architects, project managers, and landscape specialists, with a portfolio spanning Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Enugu.

We are proud to be 100% Nigerian-owned, and deeply committed to developing local talent, sourcing from African artisans, and contributing to the growing premium design culture on the continent.

Co-Founder & Creative Director

With a Masters in Interior Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and 15 years of practice, Chioma brings an unrivalled eye for spatial storytelling and material innovation.

Emeka studied Landscape Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and brings deep expertise in tropical horticulture, sustainable drainage, and the integration of outdoor and interior environments.

Tunde Fasanya

Head of Projects

Tunde leads our project management division, ensuring every commission is delivered on time, on budget, and to the exacting standards VerdeLux is known for. He oversees a team of six project managers.

Our Journey

A Decade of Growth

2014

VerdeLux Studio Founded

Chioma Adeyemi and Emeka Nwachukwu open a small studio in Ikoyi, Lagos, with a team of four. First project: a residential apartment on Lagos Island.

2016

First Major Commercial Commission

Awarded our first large-scale commercial project — a 1,200 m² office fit-out for a leading financial institution on Victoria Island. Team grows to 12.

2018

Landscape Division Launched

The Landscape Architecture division is formally established. First estate garden project in Lekki wins the Nigeria Institute of Landscape Architects Award for Excellence.

2020

National Expansion

VerdeLux opens a project management office in Abuja to serve growing demand from clients in the FCT. Portfolio surpasses 150 completed projects.

2022

3D & Technology Studio

Launch of our dedicated 3D Visualisation studio, offering clients photorealistic renders and virtual walkthroughs as a standalone service.

2024
